Teaser: Experience Spanish and Catalan culture while practicing your Spanish and / or Catalan language with those around you. Assist with the various ministries here including youth evangelism, Sunday school for kids, house groups, discipleship and involvement with a local church.
Suggested Dates: September to June
Date Flexibility: Three months minimum. Three months stay without visa. Longer stays require a one-year visa.

Located in Castelldefels, a medium size town close to Barcelona. You will be involved in language exchange teams and English language teaching to adolescents. You will also assist with the youth home group and their different activities. You will also take part of the church’s evangelism and discipleship program as needed, and also receive training in cross cultural relevant evangelism and discipleship.

Proposed weekly schedule (weekly goals):
Two hours of Bible study together and two hours of personal Bible study.
Five hours of language exchange / friendship evangelism
One hour of English language teaching, plus two hours of class preparation
Two hours of devotional together and sharing as a team
One hour of personal follow up and conversation with the coordinator.
Two hours of evangelism as a team
Two hours of work and collaboration with the youth group
Two hours of collaboration with another church ministry

Skills/ Experience Required: A mid-level knowledge of the Spanish language. Basic knowledge of Catalan a plus but not required.
Qualifications of on-field supervisor: Degree in Modern Languages, with translation and linguistic studies. Church planter worker with her husband who has 20+ years of experience in Spanish / Catalan ministry.
