Description: You would be involved in language learning and the team ministries, as well as visits to Buddhist and Muslim landmarks with local Burmese to get their insight into the culture of Myanmar. You would also participate in team and church activities. You would have the opportunity to observe and teach a few lessons of English and meet English students, as well as observe and be involved in orphanage and team outreaches, orphanage visits, and observe and be involved in working with a kindergarten in a slum area to increase your knowledge of working in a cross cultural environment. You would also be living in a cross cultural team with people from different backgrounds.

Proposed weekly schedule:

8:45-9:30 Team Devotions
9:30-11:30 English school observations or teaching
1:30-3:00 English school observations or teaching
3:00-4:00 Team Prayer Meeting

Tuesday Day Off

8:45-9:30 Team Devotions
10:00-12:00 Burmese Language study
After 12:00 Study, preparation, cultural visit, or meeting with Burmese people

Team Ministry Day or Orphanage Visit or Language Study (depends on what week in the month.)
Evening Team Dinner

9:00-12:00 Observe or help in a kindergarten in a poor area
3:00-4:00 Team Bible Study

Cultural visits or help in conversation club

8:30-10:30 Church Service, afternoon free or can participate in a youth club or church-plant ministry about an hour from the church.

Skills/ Experience Required: Desire and flexibility to work in Myanmar with Myanmar teammates.
Qualifications of on-field supervisor: B.S. in Business Administration and TESOL certification. Has been working with OM for over 7 years in the UK, Nepal, Myanmar, and Thailand.
