Teaser: Use your Business Development skills in the USA while serving a Global Ministry. Get professional experience and oversight while participating in an international community and learning about what God is doing around the world.
Dates: Accepting applications for Fall 2019. One year options also available.
Compensation: Free apartment housing on the OM USA campus as well as a $600.00 monthly stipend for living costs.

You would be responsible for researching, developing, and supporting the new ventures and business opportunities for OM. Duties could include: market research, technology investigation, development of detailed business models, creating financial projections and writing business plans for new Business as Mission (BAM) and Business for Transformation (B4T) ventures.

  • Be exposed to multicultural subjects and settings
  • Creating strategic project management plans
  • Presenting completed project to executive team
  • Accessibility to experienced, executive level mentors
  • Create business models for sustainable business projects.
  • Research, financial analysis, and reporting for various projects
  • Present completed research to officers or involved employees
  • Participate in planning for action steps following completed research
  • Gain experiences in project management and leadership

Additional Info:

  • All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.
  • On campus housing required.
  • An international business trip as part of this internship is an option.
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Must be in junior or senior year of college
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills (highly self-motivated).
  • Ideally candidates will possess previous experience in: research and data collection, business planning, and financial modeling. 
  • MBA candidates are preferred, but any junior or senior business or economics students or a recent graduate will be considered.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with consulting or related work/ internship experience.
Qualifications of supervisor:
As an intern you will work directly for members of the OM management team, who have experience both in the corporate world in their field, as well as in international nonprofit.  You will receive vocational mentoring by senior level OM staff, as well as monthly meetings with OM Vice Presidents.
